Now more than ever, people are looking for ways to stay healthy and build up their immune system. If you Google health or healthy eating, you will see a bounty of information. Some information may be useful, but much of it is false, has no science behind it, or is twisted in a way to make you buy something. With so many bloggers and nutrition “experts” out there, how can you tell the difference between factual information and a false sales pitch? We can think of no better expert at Integrated Rehab Consultants than our very own Kunwarjit Singh Duggal, MD, or as his friends and colleagues call him, Dr. Kenny Duggal. Not only is he a fantastic rehabilitation doctor, but he’s dedicated his life to studying medicine and how diet and food are impacting health. Myth Busters: Exposing the MythsAbout a Plant-Based Diet is a fun yet informative talk by Dr. Duggal discussing many of the false narratives out there about plant-based diets and what healthy eating really means.

Dr. Duggal regularly speaks at Veggie Fest, a family-fun two-day event that takes place in Lisle IL at Danada South Park, just steps from The Science of Spirituality Meditation Center. Held annually in August, Veggie Fest is one of the largest vegetarian food and wellness festivals in North America. It’s also considered one of the premier festivals focused on delicious yet nutritious food and healthy living.

In addition to Veggie Fest, The Science of Spirituality Meditation Centers have launched Veggie Fest Presents, a series of programs to continue education on health and nutrition. Myth Busters: Exposing the Myths About a Plant-Based Diet was presented as part of the Veggie Fest Presents program. Programs include cooking classes, talks on how to transition to a plant-based diet, and celebrity speaker events where doctors and specialists provide the latest scientific research on the plant-based diet.
