Dr. Amish Patel graduated medical school from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2006. After graduating, he obtained a transitional year internship at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago and graduated with Honors in 2007.
After graduation in 2007, Dr. Patel began his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, IL. While at Marianjoy, he headed up several committees, including the Ethics Committee, Patient Safety Committee, and GME Committee. Dr. Patel served as Chief Resident his senior year and graduated his residency in 2010.
Currently, Dr. Patel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Rehab Consultants (IRC), a physician group specializing in rehab within Post-Acute facilities. IRC is the largest Physiatry group in the country, with over 125 physicians providing Physiatry services in over 25 states and 400+ facilities.
A visionary in today’s world of Value-Based Medicine, Dr. Patel currently serves on the board for Third Eye Telehealth as well as Vitae Health Systems.
Dr. Patel’s been involved with numerous professional societies throughout the years, including being a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). Currently, Dr. Patel is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), and The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (AMDA-PALTC). In addition, he serves on the Evidence, Quality, and Performance Committee (EQPC) for the AAPMR.
